About the CrossFit program

The CrossFit prescription is constantly varied, high intensity, functional movement. Functional movements are universal motor recruitment patterns; they are performed in a wave of contraction from core to extremity; and they are compound movements.

They are natural, effective and efficient locomotors of body and external objects. But no aspect of functional movements is more than important than their capacity to move large loads over long distances and to do so quickly.

Each CrossFit class are consisted of dynamic warm up and joint mobility exercises or prep movement.

A mastery of specific movement for the day or week will be performed and practiced. It will be followed by 20-30 minutes metabolic conditioning workout.

Finally,  rejuvenation or regeneration period will be performed. CrossFit group classes are offered Monday through Friday in the mornings and evenings, and one morning class on Saturday.

Completion of our On Ramp program is required before joining our CrossFit classes.  Members pay a monthly fee and may attend any of the Group classes that fit into their schedule.  See our schedule for specific class times.

Each class will be scaled according to individual’s level of fitness. No one will be left behind; it will be an individual effort with a group support. Everyone will be in pain but in the end everybody will be make it.

CrossFit Findlay Classes

Our group classes allow you to work out with other people and push yourself further than if you work out alone. Each class is approximately an hour from warm up to the conclusion of the Workout of the Day (WOD). A certified CrossFit Trainer conducts every class and teaches the movements along with making sure participants are using proper form throughout the session.

Scalability is a core concept to CrossFit, and we believe it is one of the most valuable parts of CrossFit Findlay’s philosophy.  Universal scalability simply means that the movements and exercises we perform in a workout can (and will) be scaled to meet each individual’s current fitness level.  For example, if the Workout includes Box Jumps on a 24″ Box, but you are not at a fitness level that can safely jump that high, we will scale you down to jump on a smaller box, step up and down on a tall box, or even step up and down on a short box.  At CrossFit Findlay, we always focus on proper form before increasing the difficulty of any exercise for our clients.  This philosophy has been successfully applied in our gym from elite athletes to the most unfit who had not engaged in any exercise for years.

The On Ramp program is a 4 Session program to introduce you to what CrossFit is. You will learn the proper form for all the movements you will use in the workouts and at the end of each session you will participate in a workout to experience what the classes will be like
